In line with the dissemination and communication activities of the Life AdaptaMED project coordinated by the IUCN- Center for Mediterranean Cooperation, several educational and awareness workshops have been organized in the Doñana National Park during the Doñana Natural Life Ecotourism Fair. These workshops were free and welcomed all stakeholders of the Life AdaptaMED project. The Life AdaptaMED project was created with the objective of protecting the ecosystem services provided by three Protected Spaces in Andalusia: the Natural Areas of Sierra Nevada, Doñana and the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata. It began in 2016 and focuses on developing, evaluating and disseminating adaptive management measures aimed at ecosystems that are key to the provision of services such as soil retention, pollination, pasture, temperature regulation, water supply, forest fire prevention And prevention of desertification. The project is led by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Andalusian Government and funded by the European Union under the Life Program. During these actions, the European Commission's LIFE Program, the largest financial instrument for the environment and climate in Europe, was also visible, and this year marks its 25th anniversary.
